CityCenter Las Vegas
Design for the 78,000 square foot spa was influenced by the five elements (Wu Xing) of traditional Chinese medicine: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Balancing these natural elements creates a soothing escape for residents, vacation travelers, and conventioneers alike. With 62 treatment rooms, a Fire Lounge, “Shio” salt meditation room, Ganban’yoku room, private spa suites, fitness center, plunge pools and more, there is something for everyone.
Enter reception to experience the calming trickle of water cascading over granite blocks into pools below. Five carved wooden sculptures represent trees of life. Aji Granite and reclaimed wood wall and floor finishes connect to the earth bringing the sensory experience of cooling and warmth. Furnishings maintain clean lines with plush fabrics in soft tones to enhance the soothing comfort. The glass facade overlooks the pool deck beyond, bringing the outside elements of nature in for a feeling of serenity.
Across from the fitness center is the Fire Lounge. A split-faced Aji stone wall holds the fireplace. Red wood flooring, wood walls and water features bring together the elements of healing. Deep orange leather seating create a place to relax and revitalize after a good workout.
The healing properties of salt infusions are carried throughout the spa with salt lamps in each treatment room and a “Shio” salt infusion meditation room. Walls of salt blocks are back lit and heated. Not only does this create stunning visual effects but salt is released into the air to detoxify the body, delighting the senses.
Ganban’yoki rooms bring together elements of wood, earth and fire, with heated granite beds surrounded by wood walls. Ganban’yoki detoxifies the body, improves the circulatory system and is good for the skin.
Private Spa Suites offer plunge pools surrounded by Aji stone, double treatment rooms, private baths, and sitting areas.
